We have 19 beds at Fire Sky Ranch, we maintain at an average of 15 clients at most times. WIth a small group size we find that clients are able to share and be vulnerable with others and make connections which is an important part of recovery. Many clients find that the brotherhood and camaraderie they find at our facility allows for growth and connection during a really difficult time.
Will I have to share a room?

FAQs
What about legal issues?
We understand that many of us enter into recovery with arrests, probation, and court dates. As challenging as that can be it can also be a turning point for many of us to find sobriety. It is common for clients entering treatment to have legal issues that our individual counselors can help you navigate. We pride ourselves on working closely with lawyers, probation officers, and the court system in order to help our client be successful in the long run.

We will gladly write letters to judges, prosecutors and lawyers on your behalf to explain the purpose of our program, your admission to our facility, and your successful completion of the program as needed.

As long as you are serious about changing we will work with you and allow you some freedoms to handle business when needed. Our professional track of the program allows clients with important careers some opportunities to manage their affairs while also building their recovery.
What about a psychiatrist?
Dr. Jessica Nelson is our consulting psychiatrist. We work closely alongside her to help clients find medications or other interventions that help with issues that may impact your treatment and recovery. Clients with co-occurring mental health or other diagnoses will be screened by Dr. Nelson and given options as to what medications they can be prescribed to lessen any symptoms that might interfere with their recovery.
What about health issues?
Depending on what substances an incoming client is struggling with and if withdrawal symptoms will occur each client will be seen by Jim Rosson FNP-C or another physician. Any health issues that might interfere with treatment can be addressed at the initial assessment. If a client has serious health issues they may be asked to complete a medical detox at a hospital before entering our program. Due to our CARF accreditation and licensure from the State of Texas we are required to elevate a client to a higher level of care if medically necessary. If a client in our care is having issues with some aspect of their health we will gladly facilitate any doctor’s appointments, prescriptions, or any other type of care that’s necessary for them to participate in our program.
What are the requirements?
The requirements to enter our program are some form of payment (i.e. insurance, private pay), a willingness to change and work on the issues that led to addiction, and a good attitude. We want you here and we will work as hard as you will to make lasting changes in your life and help you enter and stay in recovery from your addiction.
What if I have criminal charges?
